A particularly memorable moment was when a staff member who had served us at the bar earlier in our stay recognised us at breakfast and greeted us warmly each morning, a simple but thoughtful gesture that really made us feel valued as guests. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day, and it made such a difference coming back to a fresh, tidy space after long days out exploring the sights of Hobart. It was clear that attention to detail mattered to the housekeeping team, and that helped us feel relaxed and well looked after. The breakfast service noticeably improved as the week went on, with the atmosphere becoming much calmer and more pleasant compared to the initial chaos of the weekend.

Breakfast was yummy. A bit expensive but I know you have to recoup your cost. When kids only eat a small amount even $20 is alot. I definitely wouldn't have eaten $39 worth, and even my husband who is a big eater only ate that much to get his money's worth! I work in waste management and food waste is Australia's biggest contributor to carbon emissions. By charging so much, people tend to load their plate up, eat what they can, then go back for more of something else, just to get their money's worth. You might want to reassess the economics around how much food is wasted versus eaten and if this is contributing to the high charge. By charging less guests may feel less inclined to eat/load their plate so much. You will always have people who abuse the buffet option but on the whole, I think you would have more repeat service if the prices were lower. We would have come back the second day if so.
